Groups

Our support groups are free and open to anyone who meets the criteria for participation. Each group provides a safe, compassionate space for individuals to connect with others who share similar experiences and challenges.

Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly, offering ongoing opportunities to share stories, exchange resources, and gain insight from one another’s journeys. Guided by experienced facilitators, these groups emphasize mutual support, understanding, and empowerment.

Together, we explore ways to navigate life’s difficulties, build resilience, and discover pathways toward healing and growth. Whether you are coping with trauma, brain injury, chronic illness, or other life transitions, these groups are a place to be seen, heard, and supported on your healing journey.

Trish

Colleen saved my life! More than once! The evolution from drowning to group therapy to psychodrama to inpatient to individual therapy to life!!!!!”

Jen Werner

I have known Colleen since 1995. I met her when I was admitted to an eating disorders program where she ran the psychodrama program and the survivor's group. Colleen is skilled and compationate. She has a nurtuing way about her that made me feel very safe to open up to. We reconnected many years later, when I was admitted again for treatment at the Renfrew Center. Colleen is someone who I have always looked up to and admire.

The trauma retreat was truly amazing.
I was originally nervous about opening up and working with others, but the environment was so open, honest, and supportive that I quickly felt safe and seen. Working with Ms. Colleen, Ms. Debbie, and the entire staff was incredibly freeing. The whole weekend was an eye-opening experience, and I’m so grateful for the care and compassion they provided throughout.

Thank you for the endless support.
