Therapy
People come to therapy for many reasons — sometimes because of a crisis or loss, and other times because of a quiet longing for change. You might feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You may be seeking healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
Therapy offers a place to pause, breathe, and be met with compassion. It’s a space to explore your story, uncover your strengths, and rediscover your capacity for growth, connection, and meaning. Whether your journey begins in pain, curiosity, or hope, therapy can help you move toward a more authentic and balanced life.
Drama Therapy
Drama therapy is the intentional use of drama and/or theater processes to achieve therapeutic goals.
Drama therapy is an embodied practice that is active and experiential. This approach can provide the context for participants to tell their stories, set goals and solve problems, express feelings, or achieve catharsis. Through drama, the depth and breadth of inner experience can be actively explored, and interpersonal relationship skills can be enhanced.

One to One Psychodrama vs Group Psychodrama
Benefits of Group Therapy
There are several advantages of group therapy.
Support, Safety and Encouragement
Group therapy allows people to receive the support and encouragement of the other members of the group. People participating in the group can see that others are going through the same thing, which can help them feel less alone. The setting allows people to practice behaviors and actions within the safety and security of the group.
Role Modeling
Group members can serve as role models for other members of the group. By observing someone successfully coping with a problem, other members of the group can see that there is hope for recovery. As each person progresses, they can, in turn, serve as a role model and support figure for others. This can help foster feelings of success and accomplishment.
Insight on Social Skills
By working with a group, the therapist can see first-hand how each person responds to other people and behaves in social situations. Using this information, the therapist can provide valuable feedback to each client.
Affordability
Group therapy is often very affordable. Instead of focusing on just one client at a time, the therapist can devote their time to a much larger group of people, which reduces the cost for participants.

PSYCHODRAMA:
Conceived and developed by Jacob L. Moreno, MD, psychodrama employs guided dramatic action to examine problems or issues raised by an individual (psychodrama) or a group (sociodrama). Using experiential methods, sociometry, role theory, and group dynamics, psychodrama facilitates insight, personal growth, and integration on cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels. It clarifies issues, increases physical and emotional well being, enhances learning and develops new skills.

What client say about us
Colleen saved my life! More than once! The evolution from drowning to group therapy to psychodrama to inpatient to individual therapy to life!!!!!”
I have known Colleen since 1995. I met her when I was admitted to an eating disorders program where she ran the psychodrama program and the survivor's group. Colleen is skilled and compationate. She has a nurtuing way about her that made me feel very safe to open up to. We reconnected many years later, when I was admitted again for treatment at the Renfrew Center. Colleen is someone who I have always looked up to and admire.
The trauma retreat was truly amazing. I was originally nervous about opening up and working with others, but the environment was so open, honest, and supportive that I quickly felt safe and seen. Working with Ms. Colleen, Ms. Debbie, and the entire staff was incredibly freeing. The whole weekend was an eye-opening experience, and I’m so grateful for the care and compassion they provided throughout. Thank you for the endless support.
